1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
2 cup cheese, sharp cheddar or swiss
1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp hemp seeds
2 tbsp ground flax meal
DirectionsCream together butter and cheese. Add remainder ingredients and mix well. Form into 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a fork.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until pale gold around edges.
For a change add herbs such as rosemary or sage. Or minced vegetables.
