Christophe discovered this week if he holds on to our hands and puts one foot in front of the other he can go forward. Then he discovered that he no longer needs to wait for the cats to come a see him he can go to them (as long as mama or papa are cooperating).
Christophe also successfully peed in his face, yes in his face. He now holds up his legs for us during diaper changes and uses his hands on his knees to help out. Well mid diaper change he started to pee but did not think that releasing his legs would be wise. We took a bath after that event.
Christophe is rolling but shy about it. Every-time I leave the room I find him flipped over however he wont preform when I am playing with him. At night we stopped using his blocks when we put him in his crib, so every morning or at 2am we find him in these weird positions - lying with his head at the foot of the bed; lying sideways, lying sideways at the foot of the crib...
Christophe also discovered that splash pads are like large tubs and 100 times better. This is another location where he enjoys walking (my back is killing me from holding his hands all the time)
A record of our life. Parenting, cooking, designing, playing, traveling, exploring, living...

Midnight cat play date
Last night around 2:30 I started hearing Christophe giggling and cooing contently in his room over the monitor. I could also hear the crib toy going and I though he just figured out how to play with it on his own. Since he was not crying I tried to go back to sleep. Every 30 minutes or so he awaked me with his coos. Around 5am he started sounding like he was hungary instead of happy to play with his crib toy and mobile; so I got up and went to get him to start are morning routine. To my surprise I discovered he had a new crib toy Abel our cat. I guess it was able making the crib toy go not him; however I am happy to see that Abel played nice all night long.
That does not surprise em since she tends to come and participate in tummy time with us almost every day and Christophe is quite entertained by her on a daily basis.
We need to be more careful I guess. We always check to make sure the room is kitty free but I guess we missed one. (We have 4 cats)

Nursery Sleeping
Christophe's been co-sleeping with us since birth, in a co-sleeper. We've been talking about transitioning him to the crib, but Pierrette wanted to do it on a night where the next day, I'd be home (e.g. a Friday or Saturday) so that if the sleeping went badly, I could help out the next day.
So today was the first experiment. Pierrette fed Christophe in the early evening then gave him to me. I settled him, then put him down, while Pierrette went to the bedroom to sleep. Half an hour later, Christophe was firmly asleep and Pierrette came back to the nursery with a pillow and blanket. She's in there sleeping on the floor right now.
Ah, mummies. :)
